DESCRIPTION
TightVNC is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the InitialiseRFBConnection function in rfbproto.c. By sending a specially-crafted request using 0xffffffff bytes of data, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service condition on the system.
