Puppet Server is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by a regular expression denial of service (ReDoS) flaw during certificate validation. By using a specially crafted regex input for certificate names, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to significantly slowed down server operations, and results in a denial of service condition.
