Ashlar-Vellum Cobalt is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking when parsing of CO files. By persuading a victim to open a specially crafted CO file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process.
