Cisco Identity Services Engine could allow a local authenticated attacker to traverse directories on the system, caused by improper validation of parameters that are sent by a certain CLI command within the restricted shell. An attacker could send a specially crafted CLI command containing “dot dot” sequences (/../) to escape the restricted shell and gain root privileges on the underlying operating system.
