Cisco IOS XR could allow a local authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by due to insufficient image verification in the iPXE boot function. By manipulating the boot parameters for image verification during the iPXE boot process, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to boot an unverified software image on the affected device.
