GTKWave is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the LXT2 lxt2_rd_expand_integer_to_bits function. By persuading a victim to open a specially crafted .lxt2 file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system.
