HashiCorp Boundary could allow a local authenticated attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by the storage of user credentials in plain-text when using a PKI-based worker with a Key Management Service (KMS) defined in the configuration file. By gaining access to the storage files, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to obtain sensitive information, and use this information to launch further attacks against the affected system.
