HashiCorp Vault Enterprise could allow a local authenticated attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by a flaw when using an HSM in conjunction with the CKM_AES_CBC_PAD or CKM_AES_CBC encryption mechanisms. By utilize padding oracle attack techniques, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to obtain the root key information, and use this information to launch further attacks against the affected system.
