Hitachi Energy RTU500 series devices are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by a stack-based buffer overflow in the HCI IEC 60870-5-104 function. By sending a specially crafted request, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service condition.
