DESCRIPTION
Insyde InsydeH2O could allow a local authenticated attacker to gain elevated privileges on the system, caused by an unsafe pointer flaw in the SMM (System Management Mode) branch when registering a SWSMI handler. By sending a specially-crafted request, an authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability to gain elevated privileges in SMM.
