Service Location Protocol (SLP, RFC 2608) is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by improper service validation. By registering arbitrary services and conducting a reflective denial-of-service amplification attack using spoofed UDP traffic, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service.
