The Technology Assurance principles
In this blog post I want to introduce a new family of principles, the Technology Assurance Principles.
These will help you to gain confidence in the security of any product or system which can be expected to come under cyber attack. This isn’t just for security-specific devices, like firewalls, it’s for any product which needs to be secure against attack.
The principles are organised to help you assess specific areas of a product’s creation and use. Currently, this includes development, design and functionality, and through-life security.
These will be useful for product developers looking to build devices which meet acceptable standards and for buyers wishing to ensure their new purchases attain the level of security they need or desire.
