DESCRIPTION
The Update Framework (TUF) go-tuf could allow a remote authenticated attacker to bypass security restrictions, caused by a flaw in the implementation of the client workflow for updating the metadata files for roles other than the root role. By sending a specially-crafted request, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to install older version of software that may include known vulnerabilities.
