Trail of Bits uthenticode could allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions, caused by a EKU validation bypass. By sending a specially crafted request using a X.509 certificate, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to produce a “signed” PE file that uthenticode would verify and consider valid.
