DESCRIPTION
Vim is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the utf_ptr2char function in mbyte.c:1794. By opening a specially-crafted file, a remote authenticated attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause a denial of service.
